COMPOSITING SUPERVISOR

Masters of Reality is seeking a Compositing Supervisor to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting leads and artists to produce outstanding compositing for complex shots in photo-realistic visual effects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and mentor a team of compositors, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the highest quality of work

Collaborate with directors, VFX Supervisors, and other department heads to understand the creative vision and requirements for each project

Oversee the compositing process from start to finish, ensuring seamless integration of live-action footage, CG elements, matte paintings, and other assets

Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges that arise during production

Maintain a high level of quality control, ensuring all shots meet the artistic and technical standards of the project

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our studio at the forefront of compositing techniques

REQUIREMENTS

Extensive experience in compositing for film, television, or commercials, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work

Expert-level Nuke abilities

Strong understanding of photography, composition, lighting, colour, and motion

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Highly skilled in all aspects of compositing, colour tools and methodologies, matte extraction techniques,  2.5d compositing techniques, scanning and timing process

Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring a team of artists

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Python experience is a plus
